Centre for Applied Learning is an award-winning social enterprise aiming to inspire, train and fund entrepreneurial-minded individuals through experiential educational programmes. It does this through a number of programmes including national enterprise competitions, investment opportunities, grants and business mentorship. The National Apprentice Challenge is the largest residential enterprise competition for top ambitious, proactive and entrepreneurial students across the UK. Top 100 pre-selected students go through practical challenges tailored to our partners and test their business acumen while working under pressure. This makes the Centre for Applied Learning the largest live competition in The UK. In 2014 alone this engaged with 250,000 students, in 33 top universities and 25 student-led enterprise societies, offering students a chance to meet Sir Richard Branson in person, receive up to £200,000 in seed investment and £13,000 in grants.
