About the Social Business: Creating the AirBnB for Mentorship: They connect International University students with High School students for providing one-on-one mentoring for studying abroad with Scholarships. They also create free videos on scholarship opportunities, essay writing, SAT prep, and provide one-on-one mentoring services at 1/50th the price of their direct competitors. Our platform allows university & high-school students from any country of the world to sign-up and receive mentoring by a student from their desired university program. Every year, more than 700,000 high-school students in Bangladesh don't get the opportunity to receive university education after HSC exams and most of them remain unemployed. Not because of their lack of talent or potential, but because they have inadequate seats in universities to teach them. CrossRoads Initiative connects Bangladeshi students studying in universities (home and abroad) with 700,000 dropout High-school students every year, to create a P2P mentorship platform.
About the Y&Y Fellow: Sadid Bin Hasan isa first-gen Data Science & Business student at Minerva University, travelling and studying around the world. He believes that Higher Education is a privilege, and have founded “CrossRoads Initiative”--a mentorship platform for helping 1200+ students get scholarships for studying abroad! I had experience interning as a PM in South Korea, developing the award-winning NASA Virtual-Reality Game in San Francisco, and engaging with Wall Street Business leaders at Business Today International Conference in New York. As an International student living in 7 world countries over 4 years, he has learned life-skills of Cross Functional Collaboration, Relationship Management, Team Building & Communication Strategy. Aside from work, he is an avid Manchester United (Soccer) fan, and loves adventure sports, and Sky dived with his best friend in Northern California. His dream is to learn and share his learnings with the world, while discovering and travelling the world.
