Neha Ahmed and Vedika Murark

Nationality: Pakistan
Organization Name: Educase
Impact Region: Asia
About the Social Business: Educase is a women-led social enterprise, where we’ve designed a school bag that folds into a desk for children studying in government and community schools who have little to no classroom furniture. They partner with organisations that fund education initiatives to buy the Educase and distribute it to students for free. Keeping the young audience in mind, Educase is lightweight, strong, durable, weather resistant and easy to use. Currently, they’re operating in Nepal, however, they aim to cater to children all around the world so that every student has a comfortable learning experience-one that motivates them to study and improves their overall access to education.
About the Y&Y Fellow: Neha Ahmed is a British Pakistani who has spent most of her life living in the UK and Middle East, including Saudi Arabia and the UAE. She completed her education in economics and entrepreneurship, and has work experience as a consultant in innovation & qualitative research. Being from Pakistan originally, she was always aware of the challenges in South Asia and felt passionate about giving back to marginalised communities in the region, using this as motivation to deliver a positive impact in her role as co-founder of Educase. Outside of work, Neha loves travelling, food, family, going for walks, and is fascinated by human psychology, other cultures and creative outlets like photography, calligraphy and interior design development and marketing in private organisations.
