About the Social Business: Centro Urbes is an organization that works for every wildlife urban ecosystem so that it can be preserved and managed adequately with community participation and based on evidence. We intervene by strengthening people's capacities for conservation, considering in situ activities as well as enabling social and political conditions for the integration of wildlife into the city’s growth. Since 2015, our projects have impacted 2000 people directly, benefiting over 20 thousand people around the ecosystem’s extensión. We’re currently promoting the integration of social entrepreneurship and conservation in vulnerable populations.
About the Y&Y Fellow: Diego Padilla is from Peru. He is co-founder and CEO at Centro Urbes. He has over 10 years of experience in integrating ecosystem and society across sectors, taking leading roles in Government and United Nations agencies, as well as international NGOs. He’s the author of the Foliar Model, a methodology for changemakers that combines social and ecological knowledge for addressing change. He’s a Ship for World Youth Leaders fellow, Youth in Action national award winner, and belongs to several national and international networks of conservation and entrepreneurship.
