Impact Region: Latin America
About the Social Business: Arca, in Portuguese: ’a box with a treasure inside’, is a social enterprise based in Brazil that works in three areas of transformation in the phenomenon of forced migration and gender inequality. We equip marginalized migrant women in South America with creative and employability skills, pay them to register their own stories, and advocate through images and videos amplifying their voices. Arca uses the market forces within the Creative Industry to finance its operations that foster cultural exchange activities with the community, raising awareness and challenging gender and cultural stereotypes.
About the Y&Y Fellow: Bruni holds a bachelor in Business and IT from PUC-RS, he is certified project manager by PMI, and has a Masters in Social Entrepreneurship achieved at University of London through the Chevening Scholarship. He co-founded Arca Fine Arts, a startup focused on the economic and cultural inclusion of vulnerable migrant women in Brazil. Today, he works primarily as a consultant in DE&I and at the intersections of technology and social innovation.
