Fashion Revolution Week is a worldwide movement that happens every year in the week surrounding the 24th of April, the date of the anniversary of the 2013 Rana Plaza building collapse. A tragedy that happened in Bangladesh and took mostly young women\u2019s lives – within the more than 1,100 people – while they were manufacturing clothing for many of the biggest global fashion brands. As a result and in honor of countless victims of this and many other tragedies of the fashion industry, the Fashion Revolution Week<\/strong> stands by a manifest with 10 topics:<\/p>\n

Inspired by Y&Y Fellows Melissa O de L\u00e9on and Larissa Roviezzo, co-founders of REGENERATE Fashion, and Carla Reinagel, founder of Equip Mozambique, Yunus & Youth has decided to join the 2021 Fashion Revolution Week. #FashRevYunus is a way to reinforce Y&Y\u2019s will and determination to empower social entrepreneurs who give their heart and soul to protect the planet from degradation, through the promotion of sustainable consumption and production, sustainably managing its natural resources, and taking urgent action on climate change, so that it can support the needs of the present and future generations.<\/p>\n

Y&Y Community was invited to record short videos about their social work in the fashion industry or one of these three topics:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Who made my clothes \/ I made your Clothes:<\/strong> asking the brands they consume who made the clothes you are wearing or sharing about who makes the clothes at their social business;<\/li>\n
  2. What’s in my clothes \/ Who made my fabric:<\/strong> asking about the materials and fabrics of a garment they own or sharing about who makes the fabrics of the products they create;<\/li>\n
  3. Loved Clothes Last:<\/strong> sharing a special garment they have had for many years.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
