Ritu no se hab\u00eda dado cuenta de la gran extensi\u00f3n de las empresas sociales hasta que asisti\u00f3 a una conferencia de liderazgo en los Pa\u00edses Bajos. \u201cVi algo que no imaginaba que exist\u00eda\u201d, dijo, y a\u00f1adi\u00f3: \u201cNo sab\u00eda que un movimiento tan grande como este est\u00e1 en marcha y que tantas personas trabajan juntas para el bien social\u201d. Aqu\u00ed es cuando decidi\u00f3 unirse al movimiento y ser mentora de un Y&Y Fellow. Aunque en ese momento Ritu y Abhishek fueron agrupados de forma aleatoria, ella sinti\u00f3 una conexi\u00f3n y estaba entusiasmada de poder colaborar con un tema medioambiental.<\/p>\nRitu ayud\u00f3 a Abhishek con investigaci\u00f3n de mercado, modelos financieros y con la construcci\u00f3n de un plan de negocio para conseguir financiaci\u00f3n adicional para su iniciativa. \u201cSent\u00ed que mi trasfondo de mentoreo y gesti\u00f3n de producto realmente lo ayudaron a crear una investigaci\u00f3n de mercado acertada y un plan financiero para sacar su iniciativa adelante.\u201d Durante la mentor\u00eda, Abhishek gan\u00f3 una beca universitaria por INR 30.000.000. Su proyecto piloto logr\u00f3 reciclar m\u00e1s de 1.5 toneladas de pl\u00e1stico, produciendo m\u00e1s de 1.000 ladrillos ecol\u00f3gicos. Adem\u00e1s, estableci\u00f3 contactos significativos a trav\u00e9s de aliados con compa\u00f1\u00edas de EPC (ingenier\u00eda, obtenci\u00f3n y construcci\u00f3n) y convers\u00f3 con contratistas locales para realizar proyectos a mediana escala.<\/p>\n
Para Ritu, la empat\u00eda es una cualidad que todos los mentores necesitan tener. Explica que gracias a ella, el mentor puede comprender d\u00f3nde est\u00e1 ubicado el Y&Y Fellow y por lo tanto aconsejar adecuadamente. \n\u201cCuando mentoreas a alguien no solo se trata del v\u00ednculo individual que se genera.
