Their goal is to monitor data practices and to research gender biases in the data collection, analysis, prediction and communication processes, to help governmental, non-governmental organizations and companies to incorporate a gender perspective to these processes and to train the teams that work with the data. One of their main concerns is that missing data is a real issue in Latin America. They believe that it is not possible to create gender programs without understanding gender issues through data. That is why in DataGénero they want to create a school of gender data to teach courses for citizens, organizations and companies.
