Diagnosis is the identification of the nature of an illness and this is very vital for treatment of infections and lifestyle diseases. This was a perception of the founder Okolo Ikechukwu Innocent, during Nysc in Ikorodu. He noticed that over 400,000 individuals made up of 41% of Ikorodu population living in Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA had no access to medical diagnosis due to government negligence and bad road network resulting in lower quality of life and early deaths. After several months of research, he decided to establish a mobile diagnostic service company and transport his diagnostic equipment via mobile van to these rural communities and conduct ultrasound scan and laboratory investigations, thus issuing results and providing consultations i.e taking diagnosis to the patient's doorstep. Milecent Health partners with community leaders, religious leaders and referral facilities to conduct medical outreaches in churches, mosques, social gatherings etc and have reached over 10,000 patients in the last 12 months. Their center serves as a centralized diagnostic department for all surrounding hospitals and clinics as most Health facilities lack the economies of scale necessary to purchase and maintain their own diagnostic equipment. They partner with over 22 hospitals, 41 Trado medical facilities and over 50 different Clinicians who rely on them to make critical decisions about their patient's care and also, have reached over 10,000 patients in the last 12 month sal bank account. Their mission is to accelerate financial inclusion by serving the current non-consumers of banking services in francophone Africa.
