Sobre el Y&Y Fellow: Larissa Moreira is a 22-year-old social entrepreneur from Brazil, passionate about education and technology, currently in her third year at Babson College and exchange student at University of Sydney for Spring 2019. Daughter of a K-12 school teacher and a public school student herself, she learned in her early ages the numerous problems students and teachers face in the current educational system.
She is a co-founder of ignitED, an educational platform in which high school students receive mentoring and support throughout the college application process from highly curated, certified mentors currently studying in the world’s best universities (Harvard University, Stanford University, Dartmouth College, etc.). Our goal is to make high-quality college admissions counseling affordable and accessible to all high school students.
Prior to ignitED, she co-founded and led InspiraSonho, whose mission is to connect Brazilian students to meaningful learning experiences outside of the classroom. She had the privilege to lead InspiraSonho to achieving +10,000 users on its platform, +80 ambassadors in all Brazilian states and being awarded the Yunus&Youth Fellowship, given to outstanding social entrepreneurs around the world.
She has been recognized as a Brazilian Youth Ambassador by the U.S. Embassy in Brazil, National Youth Deputy by the Brazilian Congress, and awarded the Global Scholarship at Babson College, the most competitive scholarship in the school.
