Sobre el Y&Y Fellow: Emmanuel Okon is a First Class Graduate of the prestigious University of Ibadan and has been awarded and recognized by World Health Organisation as a Mental Health Expert. He is the Chief Executive Officer and Cofounder of Vmedkit, a social enterprise with a mission to democratize access to mental healthcare leveraging virtual reality exposure therapy. He has led design on a number of products for VR and Embedded Systems. As a veteran Health and Tech Professional, he brought cross functional teams through a complete product life-cycle. From ideation through release, in-market support through rapid update cycles. Okon was one of the five entrepreneurs from around Nigeria who were recognized and awarded by Microsoft and First Bank Nigeria for his innovation in artificial intelligence and big data. He emerged as one of the winners at the African Young Entrepreneurs Empowerment Program 2018. Okon also partnered with Lagos State Employment Trust Fund (LSETF) and passion incubator in deploying a solution tackling the security challenge in Nigeria. His strongest source of motivation is his vision for the future. What drives him is the change he has to make in the world.
