About the Y&Y Fellow: Shermin is currently serving as a NGO Youth Representative to United Nation-DPI for The Resolution Project. She served as the co-chair for on the programme committee for the UN-DPI/NGO conference and she is on the board of UN DPI/NGO executive committee. She have extensive experience in social entrepreneurship having cofounded a an education nonprofit Global Youth Mentorship Initiative(GYMI), which is dedicated to empowering individuals to become independent learners and socially-responsible leaders by providing underserved students with youth-led reciprocal mentorship and long-term curriculum focused on critical thinking, social emotional and interdisciplinary learning. In addition, Shermin is also the co-founder and COO for a for-profit social venture Ipromoter Image, which is an AI-powered personal fashion assistant that helps professional women in developing countries dress for success, and. She was recognized as a rising social entrepreneur by nonprofit organization the Resolution Project, Young Real Leader Prize, and Impact Squared. Shermin graduated with a B.S. in Operations Research- Engineering Management System from Columbia University.
